Halcyon Days Vivat Regina Red Enamel Box- Home Accents|Halcyon Days Enamels

A striking tribute to the Queen, ‘Vivat Regina’ is one of Halcyon Days’ most enduring designs. This hand-painted, gold-embellished royal box celebrates the monarchy through English craftsmanship. The lid reads: God save our gracious Queen / Long live our noble Queen / God save The Queen; and below it: Vivat Regina. Inside, the lid reads: God Save The Queen. The side of the box features the flags of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

The origins of the National Anthem are obscure but it dates back at least to the 1740s, during the reign of King George II. According to legend it was sung for the first time in Britain when Bonnie Prince Charlie landed in Scotland in 1745.
