Dickens Village “Light as a Drugget”- Dickens Village

This Victorian man figurine makes it look like easy work carrying a druggert. Druggets were inexpensive coverings laid over top fine, expensive rugs seasonally to prevent wear between social gatherings. He is made from high-quality porcelain; intricately detailed features are hand-painted by skilled artisans.

Victorian England, at the time of Charles Dickens, was the center of culture for the world and where many traditions we celebrate today took shape. Its architecture, customs, and history are inherent in the Dickens Village Series from Department 56.
